Josefina Proietti and Macarena Rivero, veterinary medical specialists in diagnostic imaging, transformed their day to day workflow and increased their clinic’s overall output through integrating diagnoVET’s AI-driven, multimodal diagnostic platform. By automating report generation, adding an objective point of view, and standardizing their reports, Josefina and Macarena accelerated their daily performance; elevating confidence and improving communication while increasing their patient load by 200%.
The clinic began as a mobile service in Cordoba, Argentina, examining four patients per day and has since acquired a permanent location bringing their services to 30 patients daily. This growth was fueled by the clinic’s specialization in diagnostic imaging alongside diagnoVET's AI agent support.
We sat down with Macarena and Josefina to hear how their clinic uses diagnoVET to reduce the time spent on reports by over 85% and increase their patient load three-fold.
“diagnoVET is very detailed, it helps you keep in mind differential diagnosis that you don’t encounter in your daily clinic, it greatly reduces the time it takes to complete a report… basically highly recommended.”
The Mental Overload of Manual Reports
As their clinic grew, Macarena and Josefina took on increasing amounts of administrative work because of the manual and time-consuming nature of imaging (radiology and ultrasound) reports. With each new patient, they quickly realized that this outdated workflow brought severe capacity limits that their six person team could not handle.
The clinic of Josefina and Macarena decided to streamline their disjointed, slow word document report process with an updated, high-tech solution: diagnoVET. diagnoVET’s multimodal AI decreased administrative burnout and enhanced their diagnostic power through a standardized system.
“Our secretary directly loads everything... I don't need to see my colleague's referral, now I'm only in charge of putting in the abnormal [findings]... I feel that we can dedicate much more time to what matters.”
Accelerated Reports and Time Reclamation
With each patient, Josefina and Macarena had to manually type, copy, and paste measurements and descriptions into templates. This equated to up to 40 minutes spent per individual study, taking up about half of their work day. This pressure meant they were constantly rushing. “I used to think, ‘I have four reports backed up, I need to hurry,’” Macarena explained.
“Before, we only took about 15 patients per afternoon, while now we’re doing more than 30.”
Elevated Confidence and Diagnostic Accuracy
For diagnostic specialists, the pressure to catch life-altering details is constant, however, high volumes of cases cause mental exhaustion and burnout, increasing the risk of oversight. Josefina noted, “Because of the rush we had, I might not have double checked the spine [when listed as normal]... I assumed it was fine.”
Macarena noted that one of the most valuable aspects of diagnoVET is its ”reduc[tion of] the margin of error that is operator-dependent,” through its multimodal AI agents which synthesize clinical history, X-ray data, and ultrasound findings. The AI's process of filling in normal findings for every anatomical structure forces the clinicians to re-examine the image to confirm the automated description. Josefina notes, “I’ll read it and do a double-check of the report... saying, ‘Wait, is it normal?’ So I go back to the image and look again. I re-check it, which I didn't do before.”
For difficult cases, diagnoVET expanded their clinical perspective by suggesting differential diagnoses they may have overlooked. “The AI enhances my creativity regarding presumptive diagnoses... it suggests differential diagnoses that maybe I wouldn't have thought of so easily,” Macarena explained.
Standardized Workflow and Improved Communication
diagnoVET not only improved the internal workflow; it also fundamentally improved communication, both within the clinic and with referring colleagues, through a standardized workflow.
By standardizing the format and content of the reports, the platform fostered collaboration. Josefina noted that the suggested differential diagnoses, even if controversial, “mak[ing] us say, ‘Hey, look what it put here, what do you think? Could it be?’ We debate a bit more. I feel that that helped all of us.”
The automated report generation creates structured, comprehensive reports that explicitly state what is normal alongside the pathologies. This clarity and conciseness builds immediate trust and ensures that referring veterinarians and clients receive all the necessary information to proceed confidently with a treatment plan.
“Before, we were performing around 200 studies a month. Now, we're doing 600 with the same three people.”
Since implementing diagnoVET, the clinic has experienced a transformative shift in both capacity and quality of life: it brought a 200% increase in patient load, reduced report generation time by 85%, and limited stress through objective multimodal AI.
By taking the administrative weight off their shoulders, diagnoVET has empowered these specialists to scale their business, elevate their confidence, and improve their quality of care.
